Understand preflight blockers, warnings, and disabled publish

Problem

QuillDock ran preflight, but the snapshot still has warnings or errors, or Publish now is unavailable.

Who this is for

Operators preparing to publish changes from a saved source into Wix CMS.

What you will see

  • create, update, unchanged, and stale counts
  • warning and error totals
  • a support-ready summary
  • redacted row review
  • publish enabled only when the latest snapshot is fresh, passing, and still matches the current configuration

What blockers and warnings mean

  • Warnings tell you something needs review but may not stop a later publish.
  • Errors block publish until the underlying issue is fixed.
  • Preflight never writes to Wix CMS. It only compares the current source and target and stores a trusted snapshot.

Likely causes

  • blank match-key values in the source
  • duplicate match-key values in the source or target
  • invalid numbers, booleans, dates, or URLs
  • the source has zero rows
  • record-cap limits were exceeded
  • the snapshot expired
  • source, target, or mapping changed after the last snapshot

Step-by-step resolution

  1. Open Preflight review.
  2. Read the support-ready summary and row diagnostics.
  3. Fix the mapping or source data that caused blocking rows.
  4. Rerun preflight to create a new trusted snapshot.
  5. Publish only from the latest fresh passing snapshot.

Why publish may still be unavailable

Publish now stays unavailable when:

  • the snapshot is not passing
  • the snapshot expired
  • the configuration changed after the snapshot was created
  • entitlement does not allow publish

When to contact support

Contact support if QuillDock shows a blocking condition that you cannot resolve from the snapshot summary, or if publish stays disabled even after you rerun a fresh passing preflight.
