billing.read_onlydraft

Read-only mode and inactive entitlement

Problem

QuillDock is showing read-only access, and setup, preflight, publish, schedule, or stale-delete actions are unavailable.

Who this is for

Operators reviewing plan and access state after a trial change, billing issue, cancellation, or other entitlement update.

What you will still be able to do

  • review the saved configuration
  • open run history and Run Detail
  • open backups
  • restore from an existing backup

What stays blocked in read-only mode

  • setup changes
  • preflight
  • manual publish
  • schedule changes
  • stale delete

Common reasons this happens

  • the Wix-managed trial has not started yet
  • the trial expired
  • the subscription was canceled
  • billing needs attention

Step-by-step resolution

  1. Open Plan & Access.
  2. Review the current entitlement label and the visible billing CTA.
  3. Use Start 14-day trial, Upgrade in Wix, or Manage billing in Wix when it applies to your site.
  4. Reopen QuillDock after the billing change is complete so the latest entitlement state can refresh.

Important behavior

  • Read-only mode blocks new writes, but it does not hide recovery history.
  • Restore remains available from an existing backup even while the rest of the app is read-only.
  • Launch plans differ by record cap only. Read-only mode is about entitlement state, not about Airtable, scheduling, bootstrap, or restore being removed from a lower tier.

When to contact support

Contact support if Wix billing looks active but QuillDock still keeps the site read-only after you reopen the app.
